Basic Hockey Equipment

You need 11 pieces of equipment
  • Hockey Skates (different than figure skates)
  • Shin pads and Hockey Leg Socks (until you get your team socks)
  • Hockey Pants
  • Jill
  • Hockey Gloves
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Elbow Pads
  • Neck Guard
  • Helmet
  • Hockey Bag
  • Hockey Stick ( plus black Hockey tape for the blade and end) 
    Have your daughter in street shoes hold the stick next to to her. Mark where the end touches her nose. Cut it off there. Ask your Coach for assistance.
 
You can buy these items at a few stores. Canadian Tire has three different kits for begineers, that contain most of what you need.
Includes: shin, shoulder and elbow pads, hockey pants, hockey gloves and a hockey bag. You would then need to just purchase:  Helmet, Jill, Neck Guard, Hockey Leg Socks, Skates, Stick
 
Also Stouffville's Boyds Sports has a Skate Swap sale in Sept where you can buy gently used equipment for a good price (as they tend to outgrow it)
